I would have to say “Everything happenes for a reason” Being a single mom at 24 to 2 little girls. Second little one was NOT planned. I was terrified. I knew my marriage was on the rocks. I was not working. I look back an question why I was with him in the first place, and have 2 kids from him. Well, my girls are amazing. They were truely meant to be. My youngest was my birth control baby. But she is amazing, and both my girls make me so much stronger than I can imagine.

This is a quote that I found years ago, and I love it and say it in my head often! The words, which have come to have great meaning, are on my refrigerator and next to my computer at work! Building children with good values, good manners, and a good heart is not easy!

Whenever I feel a bit overwhelmed by life’s responsibilities, the kids arguing and no one to rely on for help, I remind myself: I’m the only one they have. I have to manage it.

After nearly 10 years of single mommyhood, I’m pretty okay at it most of the time. But it never gets easy.
