Timing is everything. Actually – I said it all here, just last week (under the guise of a holiday wish list):

Other than NOT being Mr. Potato Head, the number one criterion would be to SEE ME, and fully appreciate the experience. To really see me, and continue doing so – because we all change, constantly, and isn’t that a wonderful thing?

It goes without saying that I would expect to give as “good as I get.”

The only no-gray-area requirement is that any man in my life has to agree to come second behind the kids. I’m Mom, first and foremost.

Of course, this attitude may explain why I’ve been single for ten years.

I’m not dating, however, it might behoove me to start thinking about this well in advance. Given my luck at picking losers so far, I think No. 1 on the list should be “I can’t pick the next one. I’ll make friends do it for me.” and No. 2 should be “He must be thoroughly vetted AND APPROVED by everyone in my life – including bloggy buddies.” Apparently I have SUCKER printed across my forehead, hence the “not-dating” status. Screwing up my own life is bad enough. I’m not risking my kiddos’.

Be careful what you pray/ask for.. I recently got it. OMG! It was just too much!! I had to give it back. A BMW! A “B”lack “M”an “W”ith a car, a job, and some benefits! LOL

Him? A blast from my past via facebook. He obviously had a crush on me since 1980! Lordy! And I hadn’t seen him since then. I haven’t changed, but he certainly has! We met at Snookies a month ago and in his mind.. He was my guy. Started referring to my daughter as his step daughter. And he shoved money in my jeans pocket and forced me to say grace with him at lunch.

My manifesto since him?

A BMW with a real wardrobe that consists of NO gym shorts, but at least 2 white shirts. One a formal. Well groomed. Sexy. Sexual. Youthful. With NO unnecessary vices!!

And so it is.
