Is your kitchen table heaped with junk mail?

Do you have a jumble of old newspapers or magazines … or piles of dirty laundry?

What’s up with those dead houseplants in your kitchen?

If you’re wondering what clutter has to do with sex, The Sanity Fairy™ will tell you:

Clutter is the enemy of great sex. Why?

Because all of that mess is really a physical barrier between you and a potential partner. In other words, clutter gets in the way of pursuing any passion or pleasure.

~~~
Please, let’s not confuse getting rid of clutter with getting organized. The organization craze has become a whole new industry. All those “organizational” gadgets and storage equipment are just pricey ways to manage stuff that you likely don’t need.
No, you don’t need to arrange and redo every drawer or closet. This is not necessarily about being neat. The point is to keep your clutter out of sight.
Likely, your kids’ drawers will remain a jumble and your make-up will always be scattered in different places. And, that’s okay. You’ve got better things to do than color code your kids’ sock drawers or arrange your lipsticks according to type and shade. Of course, you might want to consider getting rid of those make-up purchases that you wish you hadn’t made and anything with a funky odor. Less definitely is more.
But are there toys scattered down your hallway? Is your bed filled with Legos or Barbies? Do you have to step around piles of stuff to get from one place to another in your home?
We’d love to hear how YOU bust clutter! Any advice?
And if you’re having clutter issues — like Single Mom Seeking — please tell us which areas are your biggest challenges. (Your coat closet? Under your bed? That corner in the living room?)
