Happy Father’s Day, Part III

Do you have good men in your life?

We’re lucky to know so many great dads — and we’re happy to recognize even more terrific dads on their special day.

If you missed our previous shout outs to dads, please find more fathers here and here.

So, join us to wish Happy Father’s Day to…

sdmktgSteve, aka “SDMktg” at Tailgating Times:

We understand why your nickname at work is “Sweet G.” Not only are you the primary parent, but you also iron, bake personal birthday cakes for your kids… and you grill!

We’d tailgate with you anytime!

john-single-parent-plus-2John at Single Parent Plus 2:

Welcome to the new single dad blogger on the block! We love seeing how devoted you are to your girls, whom you refer to as “two little slices of Heaven.”

And we’ll be sending you lots of strength during your 35-day water cleanse journey

kevin-5ksKevin at 5Ks and Cabernets

We’ve been following your recent brave journey: you left your job in Fort Worth and moved to Austin during these challenging economic times. Why? In order to live near your son– and be the kind of dad who’s not only physically there, but the one who takes his son to get his hair cut.

We’re proud of you, Kevin!

What more can we add to your own Father’s Day celebration?  “It’s Father’s Day weekend, and on Sunday I fully intend to sit my ass all day in a hammock and not lift a finger,” you wrote recently.

“Well, unless that finger lifting results in a beer being consumed…”

We hear you! Enjoy!

jorge-fitz-gibbonJorge at Parent’s Place:

Thanks for mixing it up for us: stats on single parent families, journalism and your own journey as you blend your family.

Mocha Dad:

Hello Fred. You are the newest blogger we’ve discovered and we love the fact that you’re such a Renaissance dad: photographer, published author, freelance writer, and construction project manager. Oh, and a married dad with three kids!

Here’s to multi-tasking at its finest.  Welcome to the Singlemommyhood community.

All the Dads at Dadcentric:

Your recent post about your own fathers was such a fun, moving, emotional glimpse into each of you. Thanks.

Danny at Dad Gone Mad:

Bravo to you for posting a video of yourself  for the first time ever! We were very amused by the fact that instead of commenting about the video topic — “Are men better fathers than society thinks?” — most of your readers commented about how cute you are. Here you are:

I LOVE THE DIVERSITY! HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE MEN FEATURED!

I do indeed believe there are better fathers out there in the world than the media shows. There are men out ther who cook, clean, and take children to pratices, Dr. appts and so on. Real nurturing and caring Dads.

Kudos to you Singlemommyhood for being so well rounded and progressive!

    Lovebabz’s last blog post..ALL DAY FOREPLAY…

  3. As one of the dads from DadCentric, I’d like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we passed the audition.
