Valentine’s Day party giveaway contest!
If you think it’s too early to be thinking about Valentine’s Day, we’re here to get the party started.
At Singlemommyhood, we believe that Valentine’s Day is about celebrating love — in whatever form you might find it. (We also admit to being complete chocolate fiends!)
The folks at Beaucoup recently asked if we’d host a Valentine’s Day giveaway to one special single parent here.
Would we ever?
Beaucoup offers one-of-a-kind party favors — and love themed favors are their specialty.
Personally, our favorites are the chocolate hearts and personalized cosmetic bags.
So, how do you enter the contest? Answer this question:
Who would your dream Valentine be — and which item at Beaucoup would you choose to celebrate with him/her at a party?
One winner will receive a $50 gift card for Beaucoup!
Enter contest after the jump….
Dr. Leah and Rachel will choose the most creative comment as the winner.
You have until January 19 to enter. Best of luck!

I would choose Edward from Twilight to celebrate Valentine’s Day with! And I would choose the Valentine’s Day Collection Petit Fours for our celebration. But, being a vampire and all, Edward wouldn’t eat them — so I guess I would have to choke them all down myself!

My Valentine usually is a my 9 year old
Unless Prince Charming arrives in the next few weeks we will be spending our Valentines Day together.
I know she would LOVE the custom fortune cookies from BeauCoup. She loves fortune cookies and it would be great to have some made with some special messages in there for her.
At the risk of sounding egocentric, my dream valentine would be me. I love and care for and surprise and treat my DD often. As a school teacher I care and love and give to the children who are entrusted to me everyday. I surprise others with tokens of love and appreciation with notes, coffee, knitted items and other inexpensive fun things. This includs my hair dresser who makes me look beautiful, favorite bartender who never forgets, my daughter’s teachers, neighbors and well, you know the list.I also volunteer at a long term care facility weekly conversing and interacting with elderly. I surprise them with gifts, time, laughter and homemade baked goods as well.
I don’t do this for me nearly often enough. I do have one hand to count on for this. However, how can I truly expect someone to love and care for me the way I want if I cannot give it to myself first.
I do want to be my valentine…learn to be my valentine.
The item I would like from BeauCoup are the heart shaped measuring spoons. There was a time when I baked and cooked for the art and love of it. As a single mom for the past 12 this had become a chore and one I did not like. Now that my DD is 14 one of my goals is to return to the homemade, home baked, kitchen I loved while single. This set of spoons with their inscriptions will help to remind me I can cook and bake for me.
Perhaps I’ll buy the DVD “Waitress” as an additional reminder of this as well!
My dream valentine would be my own loverman. It just doesn’t get any better than him! I was intrigued by the “bag of hearts” at the Beaucoup site. But I would add a twist. I like personalizing things. So I would write up little slips of paper (the size of fortune cookie fortunes) with ideas of dirty things I’m going to do to him. He would pull each out of the bag, read them off, and I would………… well you get the picture.
Sort of a spinoff of the above idea. I would get some of the Polka Dot Favor Boxes and fill them with clues. When the boyfriend gets home, they would be hidden all over the house and there would be a note instructing him to go on a treasure hunt. And of course, I would be the “treasure” that he finally found when he completed the hunt!
I like the fortune cookies!I had the dream valentines last year I wouldnt mind doing it again:)
A Romantic thing I did for my boyfriend
Make breakfast in bed for him. Then I made a trail of Hershey kisses to the bed, I had a cute picture frame and I blew up some pictures up of us and put them on the bed.I had candles surrounding us and rose petals on the bed.I then had a nice bubble bath set up for us.For dinner I made his favorite garlic chicken but I also made heart shaped grilled cheese with it,another favorite of his. I had the table set up nicely with a cute center piece and candles.I also put a bowl of valentine m&m’s on the table.yum.
After we were done eating we watched a romantic movie and I gave him a nice body rub. He was so happy and couldn’t believe all I did for him that day.:)
Who won??
And the winner, chosen randomly, is:
Catty Granny Teri, who says:
